LFR specializes in infrastructure planning and design, as well as environmental engineering and remediation management. LFR provides key expertise facilitating successful military base reuse and conversion projects and has a proven track record in the national BRAC program. The synergy of our BRAC group and environmental consulting groups results in a proficient blend of technical expertise, relevant project experience and the extensive resources which are necessary for military base redevelopment, or active base upgrading. |

LFR has participated in the BRAC program at 18 bases, and provided services at a dozen DOD and Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS). LFR principals have been contributors to DOD's Defense Environmental Response Task Force (DERTF), Institute for Defense Analysis Review of BRAC and Office of Secretary of Defense-sponsored Community BRAC Forums. Key staff members have been involved with virtually every aspect of base reuse, from initial planning through implementation and redevelopment. The LFR team is currently working with Master Developers for 6 projects on 4 BRAC bases-4 of those projects contain significant housing components that are intended to fulfill affordable housing goals. |
