LFR’s patented Cosolvent Flushing Technology reduces tetrachloroethene (PCE) dense non-aqueous phase liquid (DNAPL) remediation time from decades to weeks.

LFR offers our clients turnkey remediation capabilities and a proven ability to design and implement innovative remedial programs that result in significantly reduced remediation costs. Our broad range of remediation capabilities includes regulatory support, remedial investigation, risk assessment, remediation engineering, field operation and management, and innovative technology.

Selecting the right remedial alternative for a soil or groundwater problem is a complex decision. It must be based on detailed cost and feasibility evaluations that account for short-term construction costs, as well as long-term operational costs. Our experienced engineering team provides a detailed analysis of these options so that you can decide which strategy best fits your business objectives. We then handle the implementation of that strategy from design through construction management and operation.

INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY
LFR incorporates the latest innovations in cleanup technology into our remedial designs. We form strategic alliances with the U.S. EPA, Office of Research and Development (Kerr Research Center), Purdue University, University of Florida, Encapco, and the American Petroleum Institute, which have better enabled us to incorporate innovative remediation technologies into site cleanup. Our engineers and scientists have a detailed understanding of the dynamics of contaminant transport in differing aquifer settings. This understanding has allowed LFR to efficiently implement innovative technologies such as cosolvent flushing, surfactant flushing, in situ oxidation, enhance biological degradation, and soil stabilization/recycling of hazardous waste using patented technology.

The detailed understanding of contaminant transport has also led to the development of LFR’s patented Co-Oxidation process. This process combines the rapid remediation possible with cosolvent flushing and the cost effectiveness of in situ chemical oxidation. LFR is currently in the process of developing other innovative remedial approaches for site remediation.
